Assam Govt Declares Summer Vacation For Schools From 15th May To 14th June:
According to the academic calendar, summer vacation in schools was scheduled from 1st July to 31st July 2021 but this year amid covid-19 situation in the state, the government has decided to announce early summer vacation from 15th May to 14th June 2021.
This decision has been taken with the objective of ensuring that students of Class 1 to Class 12 do not suffer from any academic loss.
According to an order issued by Assam Secondary Education Department, “Considering the fact that in view of COVID-19 situation in the state of Assam and Educational Institutions being closed as on date and with the objective of ensuring that the students of Elementary, Secondary and Sr. Secondary Schools (Class 1 to 12) do not suffer from any academic loss and therefore, it is decided that the summer vacation in schools scheduled from 1st July to 31st July, 2021 as per the academic calendar, is hereby scheduled from 15th May to 14th June, 2021,” the order issued by Principal Secretary of Education Department stated.
